One of our sweetest family traditions is my husband's family's French Pancake recipe. It's the kind of recipe you are only introduced to once you have met the preliminary requirements of a long-term girlfriend and are well on your way to becoming the proud owner of a new diamond. For me, having grown up with the family, the legend of 'Mom's aahhhhh-mazing French Pancakes' was hollowed and only spoke of in the most sacred of tones. Her boys would do almost anything to bring that deliciously light and yet satisfyingly rich, beautiful plate of scrumptious-ness to the table. So you can imagine my hesitation to undertake this endeavor upon becoming an official Mrs. A.
Mommy Confession: I love football! I really, really do. It's actually, somewhat embarrassing. I also love parties! Planning them, preparing for them and hosting them, they are one of my favorite things in the world. These two passion combined make for one of the best (or worst, depending on who wins...!) days of the year in my house... we love the Super Bowl! Over the years I've compiled a few of my favorite super-easy crowd-pleasing yummies to help you throw the best Super Bowl party yet.
Pancakes are, by far, one of my weekend morning favorites. Nothing says lazy morning like sizzling hotcakes and globs of maple syrup! But, as you may have already discovered for yourself, finding good gluten-free recipes that don't taste like cardboard is a rarity. That's why this one is such a gem! It's just easy as throwing together any other cheat-baking-mix and so incredibly good you'll want to double check to make sure they're actually gluten-free!
It's official: autumn is here! And with it comes everything apple, pumpkin, and cozy. There is nothing I love more then cuddling up on a luscious fall morning with a cup of coffee and something pumpkin. This weekend, the 'pumpkin' found it's way into my Grandma's famous sugar donuts! This is not an every day occurrence … Continue reading Pumpkin Glazed Sticks
Here in New England our spring season tends to hang around a little longer than it should, due to the fact that winter wayyy overstayed its' welcome. This brings us to the end of June still hauling around coats, moving in-doors after 7pm and turning up the heat in the car for those early morning drives. But something magical happens when Maine hits July: summer begins! And nothing rings the arrival of the best 6 weeks of the year like a 4th of July bash.
I love my crock-pot. No, allow me to rephrase: I lovvvvveeeee my crock-pot. This is not an instance in which the understated is better stated; you must understand, I hold my crock-pot in significantly high regard. And there is a special place in my heart for quick, painless dinners that get thrown into that magical dish … Continue reading Busy Mom’s Guide: 5 Reasons To Love Your Crockpot
I love holidays! Especially ones that include roses, chocolate, and romance. Yes, that's me, I am absolutely a Valentine's Day sucker. But the difference this year is that I have no time. No. Time. Not that I couldn't make time, but I found it creeping up on me so quickly and before I know it, we're less than a … Continue reading Busy Mom’s Guide: Last-Minute Valentine’s Day
I did something brave. Something I have been dreading for months... ever since all of my Facebook friends starting doing it and my husband began hinting (or outright begging) for me to jump on the bandwagon. So, finally, I did. I made donuts. I'm no Betty Crocker, but I do make my own homemade bread, very … Continue reading Grandma’s Sugar Donuts
